KNUST Student Portal

The student portal KNUST uses is also known as the Academic Info Manager (AIM). It’s been built specifically for KNUST students to easier manage their information, get relevant updates and interact meaningfully with other students, lecturers and other parts of the campus.

As a further step, this has been developed as a mobile app to allow easy access. Students can download the AIM Mobile App (Android) to use the portal on the go.

University of Ghana Student Portal

This is the student portal UG (or the University of Ghana) has built for the student community. It’s actually a composite platform where staff may also access school resources.

Similarly, there is also a companion mobile app for students and staff to access these services with more convenience, called UG Mobile.

Health Training Institution (HTI) Student Login

The Health Training Institution portal is an aggregate platform for tertiary training institutions under Ghana’s Ministry of Health, tasked to train and equip the healthcare workforce of Ghana. This includes all nursing and midwifery training institutes, colleges and facilities nationwide.

Sunyani Technical University Student Portal Login (STU)

The Technical University in Sunyani provides a portal for students known as the BK School Management Application (or BKApps).

There is also a staff area on the same platform within the same portal to serve faculty and other university staff.

UCC Affiliated Colleges of Education Portal

The Affiliate Colleges of Education are a number of training colleges that are all accredited by the University of Cape Coast and provides specialized training programmes, particularly for education and teacher training.

What is student portal & why is it important?

The student portal is typically a web application provided by an institution of higher learning that allows students to access and manage their own profiles as well as useful information that the institution provides to the student for academic support.

Your student portal typically gives you access and updates that are important for your academic journey. It’s typically the central summary point for different pieces of vital information, such as your school details, course schedules, upcoming events, important notices for all students, contact information and channels for lecturers, and much more.

Where is my student portal?

You can typically find a link to your student portal on your school’s main website. Look for a designated link described as Student Portal, Student Login, For Students, etc.

How do I open / log in / sign / access my student portal?

Your student portal typically requires you to provide some information unique to you for access. This is typically your student no., email address (either personal or generated for you by the school), index no., or some other reference ID that is unique to you.

You also have to provide a password since it’s a secure access and meant to be private to you.

Visit the login link for your school’s portal and log in using the required information. You will need to create your account if it’s your first time accessing the portal, or use any default access details like password that was provided to you for this purpose.

Can i change my student portal password?

Yes. On virtually any such system, it is possible to change, reset or update your password.

If you’re logged in already, you should find within your account settings, an area for managing and updating your password. It’s typically labelled Login Info, Security or Passwords, or something similar.

If you’re not logged in and you’ve either forgotten or misplaced your password, visit the login page of the portal. You should easily see a link that either says ‘Forgot password?’ or ‘Get help with login’ or something similar. Click that link and follow the prompts to change your password.

Why isn’t the student portal working, and how can I check or fix it?

This happens often sometimes, and it is somewhat normal. To understand why the student portal is not working, you have to dig a little. Here’s what to check for:

• Do you have internet connectivity yourself?
• Is the student portal open on another friend’s computer, laptop or phone?
• Is student portal down for just you or for everyone around you?
• Is the portal loading partially with an error, or not at all?
• Can you access it when you connect to a different network?

These answers can help you easily determine whether the portal is truly down or you’re experiencing a local issue.

When will student portal open?

In some cases, some institutions need to shut off access to the portal to make some updates, or feel like shutting it off when school is not in session to either save resources or rest the servers that are running the system.

In that case, you may be starting the semester soon and find that the portal is not yet open. There is nothing really wrong in this case; you simply need to wait until it’s open.

If you’re certain the portal should be open but isn’t because something might be wrong, reach out to your school’s MIS or IT department.

Does student portal show GPA? Or what can I typically see in my account?

Some do; others may not. Some may have the GPA in another app aside the main student portal. If you’re unsure, check with your school’s MIS or IT department.
